Reports are emerging of a new 12 Billion Thai Baht hotel resort, which includes, among other things, an indoor ski slope.
Suggestions are that the resort is to be located north of Chaweng and will consist of; a 250 room, five star resort with conference facilities; a sports academy and stadium; a four star hotel; and a complex of luxury apartments and villas.
The principal design firm is The Beaumont Partnership of Thailand with the development awarded to Club Koh Samui Development.
Locals appear skeptical that such a large project can be completed and highlighted that previous large-scale projects of this type had been planned in the past only to fall at an early hurdle.
